Saturday Night in Port

We pulled into Sevastopol in the golden light of the setting sun. One thing I have to hand to the Soviets, their willingness to build monuments on a Grand scale. Check out the size of the people along the shore compared to the two soldiers in this statue we passed on the way in.

Like so many european cities, much of the town turned out this evening for a stroll along the main street and down to the dock to check out the new cruise ship. Doug and I went the other way and enjoyed listening to street musicians and crowds gathered around the karaoke booths. Mostly though, we enjoyed watching families walking together.
