Iao Visit

Whenever I find myself in Wailuku, I try to swing up and visit the Iao Valley.

As always, it was well worth the detour; although I was glad for the sweater I had stashed in my car.

Fish Behaving

I got to swim with a few of Maui's Mermaids this morning.

We made sure the whale bones were still in place and the fish were behaving.

Feeling a Part Of
I love feeling included, and Maui's Mermaids and Spinner Dolphins always make me feel that way.

This morning we saw two spectacular Nudibranchs (middle photo) on a very clear water swim.

Less or More Ideal

Less than ideal ocean conditions got us out to yet another location for our Sunday morning swim today.

What a fun group of people!

Brush Storage

We proudly display a piece by this plein-aire Maui artist. I love her method of brush storage.

The sunsets have been lovely the last few days and have included lots of humpback whale activity.

Allowed to Tag Along

It is always a joy getting out into the ocean with friends.

This morning Maui's Mermaids (and friends) allowed me to tag along.

Shaking It Up Maui Pink Cap swimmers decided to add spice to the new year by trying a different swim locale.

We were visited by two different Manta Rays as we explored the shore.

Ease Back In

I am completely fed up with this cold/flu thing which I've had off and (mostly) on since the middle of November! Every time I feel well enough to get out and experience life, I get slammed HARD and end up back in bed.

Anyway, enough whining. Now that I'm feeling somewhat better, I will ease back into my normal life instead of diving in full-force.
