Hero

I love the enthusiasm brought to our Sunday morning ocean swims by visiting swimmers. To us who are accustomed to turtles, turtles and more turtles, seeing yet another turtle is barely of note. But the excitement of a new swimmer encountering one of these stately creatures for the first time is contagious. Wow! A Sea Turtle!

The entire swim becomes magical as we search out special creatures and formations to show to our visitors. It's not just another boring swim, but a real-life adventure and we are the heroes.

  1. My husband is a neophyte when it comes to turtles and was so excited to see two a few weeks ago. We do love Maui. Lake Tahoe doesn't have Sea Turtles. But then again it doesn't have sharks and Box Jellyfish. :-)

  2. Plus, Lake Tahoe is nice and refreshingly cool. Oh, and if you get thirsty during your swim, you can drink as much as you want. Wow, you have all kinds of advantages over us and our ocean.
