This has been the strangest, and worst, summer for ocean swimming here on Maui. I managed to get out into the water with Patti and Janet this morning, but just barely. We were battered by a big wind chop and had to scramble to get in and out past a big shore break; not to mention less than stellar visibility. Still, any ocean swimming is better than no ocean swimming. And we had fun.
