Out Like a Lamb

Maui's Pink Cap swimmers closed out March with lots of turtles and even a few spots of clear water.

No Disease

Quite a few people showed up for the first swim of Spring. And it was worth it.

As you can see from the bottom photo, there was still a layer of muddy water floating at the surface from last week's heavy rains. But as long as we stayed below the surface, we didn't risk contracting any disease.

 

Very Quiet

After large turnouts the past few weeks, this morning's count of four swimmers and two paddleboarders was a surprise. Conditions were exquisite and we encountered lots and lots of green sea turtles along the way.

Happy Birthday Linda

Maui's Pink Cap swimmers gathered to celebrate Linda's significant birthday this morning the way we best know how, by swimming in the ocean.

Lots of green sea turtles were easy to spot in the gorgeously clear water.

Back to Normal

After last week's exciting ocean swim, it felt good to get back to our normal Sunday morning routine. Although the nice clear water was a great change.

Thrilling Swim

A lot of swimmers appeared this morning to celebrate Valentine's Day in the ocean. Little did we know what was in store for us...

Tail and Fin Slaps

While we see lots and lots and lots of whale spouts off in the distance, we are also seeing them up close to shore. We are also seeing lots of breaching (jumping out of the water) and tail and fin slaps.
