I Wonder Where

This Gold Dust Day Gecko loves this particular Ginger flower which is fading rapidly. I wonder where I will find it once the flower has gone?

Sunburn? No Problem

Today was calm and hazy and almost summerlike. A gentle cool breeze off the ocean made being at the beach an exquisite experience.

And if a sunburn developed - no problem. Aloe grows wild all over the place here, so just break some off and daub the gel onto the pink skin.

This morning the Maui Pink Cap Swimmers said farewell and Aloha to Sam and Josh. They will be greatly missed.

Oh, and also a Huge Happy Birthday to Linda. Welcome to the seriously, truly adults club. Or something like that.

I don't often see Jellyfish here in Maui's ocean waters, so I am captivated when I encounter one - like this morning. I couldn't stop taking photographs of it.

Oh, and there were Spinner Dolphins hanging around, too.

Click HERE for several more photos from today's swim.

Good Substitute

Thank goodness my so-called psychic powers were not working this morning. All I could imagine over and over during my ocean swim was a big tiger shark zooming up to me and biting my foot off, which did not happen [whew].

The closest encounter I had was when this Spotted Eagle Ray swam directly toward, and then under, me. Even though rays are close relatives of sharks, I do not mind being near them one tiny bit.

My Amazing Psychic Powers

As I approached the tunnel of trees which is Wailea Ike Drive this morning, I was visualizing taking a photo with a couple holding hands as they strolled down the street. When I got there my buddies, Claire and Joe, were ahead of me, walking side by side. I took a photo, and then in my mind I asked them to hold hands . . . and they did. I've known them for a couple of years and have never seen them holding hands before today. And here (top photo) is the result . . . exactly as I had imagined it.

Oh, and also a sunset from a few nights previously which I had forgotten that I had on the camera.
