Pre Mardi Gras

Maui's Pink Cap swimmers began their Mardi Gras celebrations a couple of days early with another excellent ocean swim.

At one point the whale singing was so loud that we were sure the humpback whale had to be only a few feet away, but we never saw it.

Angel Rays

I've been seeing more than the usual amount of angel rays at sunset recently.

Jay's Birthday Manta Ray Swim

Yesterday, Maui's Pink Cap swimmers helped celebrate Jay's birthday with the help of two Manta Rays, an Eagle Ray, and a mysterious masked man.

Where Else

Where else but Hawaii do you get a rainbow on a sunny day with clear skies?

Even though the water was less than perfectly clear yesterday evening, I still managed to get out with the turtles.

Celebration

Maui's Pink Cap swimmers gathered to celebrate Coach Dave's birthday yesterday as well as Steve, Maggie and Rob's imminent departures.

Passing Whales

Most evenings find us on the shore watching the always different sunset.

This time of year we especially enjoy observing the antics of passing Humpback Whales.

Two Islands

Maui's Pink Cap swimmers broke into two distinct groups yesterday. One on the island of Lanai and the other in our usual spot. Both groups had a great time.
